Queen Elizabeth Country Park
Car park £1 Mon to Sat, £1.50 Sun and Bank Holidays
Gravel Hill, Horndean, Waterlooville, Hampshire, Signposted off the A3
Cost – parking. Lots of walks through woodland. Lots of animals/wildlife. Café available both inside and outside. Changing facilities. Not a good idea for prams, ok for baby backpack carriers. Warning – 5-mile walk takes a long time. Lots of BBQ sites available for hire through centre – great for large groups of people, just take coals etc
Royal Victoria Country Park
Hamble, follow signs from Junction 8 M27
Costs – parking. Right on the water. Great woods and play areas. Dedicated play area for toddlers, disabled and older children. Small railway (there is a charge, and only runs on school holidays and weekends) Large grassy areas. Good for kite flying. Ideal for picnics, take bats, balls and footballs etc. There is some shade as well. In office next to café you can book BBQ sites. Toilets in café and museum. Flat for riding bikes.
Salterns Road Park
Salterns Road, just off Gosport Road, Fareham.
Lovely and clean, great field to play on.
Salterns play park – Lee on the Solent – along the seafront road follow the signs for 'the Shack café'. Fantastic play park for the under 7's! Free parking, beach, large grass area for kite flying. 'Shack' café great prices. Bit of a walk to the toilets when out of season. Toilets by entrance to the car park – open April till Oct
Soccer City/Fun City
Wallington Industrial Estate near Sainsburys Fareham. Varies – cheaper morning and weekdays. Tends to get busy at teatimes. Toddler time 10.00am – 2.00pm when you get free squash and biscuits. Must wear socks adults and children.

Southampton – The Common
Large out door paddling pool with lifeguards. Play area, lots of space to run around in. Wild life centre – free entry. Ice cream van. Cowherds Pub close to paddling pool.
