About Us

What is a
Children’s Centre and how can we help you and your family?
Where are we and who do we serve?
We are a twinned SureStart Children's Centre which covers a wide area across Fareham. The Oak Meadow Centre in Tewkesbury Avenue/Nashe Way acts as the base for both Centres, with Oak Meadow serving the Highlands and Ranvilles areas of Fareham and part of Titchfield. Strawberry Meadow serves Titchfield, Titchfield Common, Locks Heath and part of Warsash. This means that we have extended our activities and outreach areas as far as the Lockswood Community Centre and until the new phase of Children's Centres is completed by 2010, we will continue to try and support all of you in the Western Wards.
How do you get to us?
For many of you we are within walking distance or near bus routes and of course for those of you with cars we have some parking available at all venues. However, we know that transport can be an issue and we are looking at ways to bring our services to you and also looking at how we can support with practical or financial help to ensure that you can all access our services, even if you are in the more isolated areas.
How can we help?
If you want more information about what we have to offer, or don't have the confidence to come along to one of our venues – we are only a phone call away – our family support workers can get in touch and make sure that you get a friendly welcome or can collect you at home first! We are here to help and make a difference.
